Andrei Aculov is Moldavian political scientist and expert on energy and geopolitics with a special emphasis on Europe and Russia. He is former Adviser to the President of Moldovagaz (Gazprom affiliated company), responsible for international cooperation and strategy. He has also been the Chief of foreign economic relations department at Ministry of Energy of Moldova. In this role he was co-author of Energy Strategy of Moldova and nominated to represent Government at different energy related international and regional organizations like Energy Charter and Energy Community.
Andrei studied political science, obtained several post-graduate qualifications including an MA in international relations and management. He also studied natural gas engineering in Technical University.
Andrei is a native Romanian speaker and is fluent in English and Russian.
