Martin has extensive experience from executive and management positions both in private and public sector. He worked in marketing and advertising at Starcom MediaVest Slovakia delivering media campaigns for wide-known brands such as Samsung, HSBC, RWE, Honda and others. In the position of Advisor at the Foreign Relations and Protocol Department at the Slovak Parliament he participated in high-level event management, and drafted Speaker"s official correspondence and background materials on EU affairs. As a Director of Chairman"s Office at the Slovak Quality Infrastructure Authority he coordinated international cooperation with partner authorities abroad. He also held a position of Deputy Director for Marketing and PR at Slovak Folk Crafts Agency where he was responsible primarily for agency"s communication and media relations. Most recently he worked at EU Issue Tracker, a Brussels-based legislative monitoring service, and at the Energy Charter Secretariat, focusing on energy and climate change related issues. Martin holds a Masters degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia) and the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). His thesis on adoption of EU standards "with and without the promise of EU membership deliberated", based on the cases of Slovakia and Ukraine was published as EU Diplomacy Paper no. 2/2013 in January 2013.
