Mikhail Anisimovich Yulkin graduated in economic cybernetics from Moscow State University and continued his education at the World Bank Institute in Washington. Since 1998 he plays an active role in Russian climate and emission reduction official discussions. In 1999 he established the Environment Research Center in Moscow. He is a member of the global network Sustainable Development Solutions Network, SDSN since 2017. From 2016 he has been teaching climate policies of foreign countries at the prestigious Moscow Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He is the head of the permanent working group on climate change consequences and GHG emissions of the Russian Chamber of Commerce, the head of the working group on climate strategy for the Russian part of the Barents sea, a member of the working group for GHG emission reduction of the City of Moscow and within the Ministry of Economic Development.
