Margulan Baimukhan
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the EU
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Margulan Baimukhan was born on September 6, 1974 in the Almaty region. Graduated from the Krakow University of Economics in Poland and the Vancouver University of Canada. Holds Master’s degree of Science in International Management, and MBA.
Baimukhan began his career as a Marketing and Commerce Manager at Daewoo Electronics. In 1997, he worked at the export department of River System Ltd in Poland as a Manager, Advisor, where he later became a Regional Director for South Caucasus and Central Asia. In the diplomatic service since 1999, he held various positions in the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was posted to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Poland. From 2017 to 2019, he was the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium, Baimukhan was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. Has the Diplomatic Rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the II class.
