Emmanuel Haton
BP Director, European Government Affairs
Emmanuel Haton is a French National and has spent his entire 30 years career in the BP group first in France and later in several other regions in the world. His experience is a mix of Upstream Exploration and Production in countries where the company has operations and in the BP headquarters as well as several years spent in Refining, Supply and Trading and Marketing and Government and Public Affairs. From 1983 onward Mr Haton held a variety of posts in BP France HR, Supply and Trading Division. He then moved in Air BP in the UK as head of Air BP Africa and then in charge of BP business development in the South West Pacific. In 1995 he was assigned to BP Exploration in Algeria to work on the In Salah gas Project as Director Government and Public Affairs. In 2001 he moved to BP Exploration and Production in Angola at the time BP was seriously growing its offshore business there. Prior to this Emmanuel re-joined the BP Corporate Centre in London as Director Environmental Science and Technology. He has spent the last ten years in his existing role in Brussels as Director, European Government Affairs.
